International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education recognized each year the third week of November.

This reception celebrates our international faculty, the rich partnerships between faculty and visiting international scholars, and the global collaborations happening at OSU every day. The event is open to the entire campus community. Light refreshments will be served.

Global Community and Culinary Heritage Celebration

Nov. 16, 6-8pm, MU Ballroom

The OSU community is invited to sample cultural dishes prepared by domestic and international student teams while thinking about the role of cultural dishes on our campus and cultivating a greater appreciate of food as cultural heritage. 

This event is free but tickets are required.

This Research Office Campus Conversation (or ROCC) is designed for research active faculty interested in exploring international research collaborations and funding. This session blends guidance from the Research Office on building an international research program with faculty perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of global research.

Two photographers in dialouge with world traveler Ibn Battuta

Oct. 2 - Dec. 8, The Little Gallery, 210 Kidder Hall 

Abu Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Battuta was a Moroccan Muslim who lived in the 14th century, was trained in Islamic Law, and who traveled from Morocco to many countries, going as far as China. Current day photographers Arvind Garg and Jackie Mintz immersed themselves in the world previously visited by Ibn Battuta.

An Evening With Twanguero

Dubbed a “firebreathing guitar hero” by the press, and called “the King of Twang” by Guitar Player Magazine, Latin Grammy-winning, guitarist/composer/performer Twanguero (Diego Garcia), is considered by many to be one of the finest guitarists in Spain.

 

Stress Management Through Music and Meditation
